Account Information

• Email address — Used for authentication and account recovery
• Display name — Your public name shown on reviews and profile
• Profile picture (optional) — If you choose to upload one

Usage Data

• Coffee shops you visit and check into
• Reviews, ratings, and photos you submit
• Loyalty points and achievements earned
• Interactions with other users (likes, comments, follows)

Location Data

• Approximate location to show nearby coffee shops (only when you allow it)
• We do not store your precise location history

Device Information

• Device type and operating system version
• App version

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide the service — Show nearby cafés, track check-ins, manage loyalty points
• Social features — Enable reviews, likes, comments, and following other users
• Apple Wallet — Generate your Coffeerate loyalty pass
• Improve the app — Analyze usage patterns to enhance features
• Communications — Send notifications about activity on your reviews (you can opt out)

3. Information Sharing

We may share information with:

• Other users — Your public profile, reviews, and check-ins
• Service providers — Companies that help us operate the app (hosting, analytics)

4. Third-Party Services

Coffeerate uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — For authentication and database (Privacy Policy)
• Google AdMob — For displaying advertisements (Privacy Policy)
• Apple Wallet / PassKit — For loyalty pass generation

5. Advertising

Coffeerate displays advertisements through Google AdMob. These ads may use device identifiers to show relevant advertisements. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings under Privacy → Tracking.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure authentication via Supabase
• Row-level security on all user data
• Regular security updates

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — Request a copy of your data
• Correct — Update inaccurate information via the app
• Delete — Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Opt-out — Disable notifications and personalized ads

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:

• Personal information is deleted within 30 days
• Your reviews may remain anonymized unless you request full deletion
• Backup copies are deleted within 90 days

9. Children's Privacy

Coffeerate is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through in-app notification and by updating the date at the top of this page.
